Behind the Brushstrokes
I knew immediately when asked, I wanted to make a book themed mural. It took a few different shapes before I made the first stroke. I wanted people to imagine the magic that lives inside a book. I’ve personally been to so many different lands and walked along journeys that have touched my heart. Any age can find such an escape in such an ordinary looking object. I chose colors that you can find on older books as best as I could, ones that make you take a second look. These worlds may start as black and white, but when given a chance soon become technicolor. I created an Easter Egg for our Veterans as well. That was compliments of my wonderful husband’s participation. Thank you all for your service.
